The sandwich section of a pizza menu uses the same ingredients as the pizza section in a different arrangement — same meats, same cheese, same oven. That is not a criticism; it is why the sandwiches are consistent and why they are cheap for the store to produce.
Where it fits on value
Like the pasta, this is a bundle item. At the flat rate inside a two-for offer it is good value; at full menu price it is competing with every sandwich shop in your neighbourhood and generally loses.
What you are actually getting
A baked roll with salami, ham, pepperoni or similar, provolone or mozzarella, onions, peppers and a dressing, heated through in the pizza oven so the cheese melts and the bread crisps.
Ordering notes
Ask for the dressing on the side if it is being delivered. Dressed sandwiches go soft in the middle within twenty minutes of leaving the oven, and this is the most common complaint about the item.
Removing vegetables is free; adding extra meat is not. As with the pizzas, subtracting is the cheap way to customise.
The portion is one substantial adult serving. Unlike the pasta, most people find it genuinely filling on its own.
