Breadsticks are the highest-margin item on a pizza menu and the most reliably good deal filler. They are made from the same dough as the pizza, brushed with garlic butter and dusted with parmesan, then baked and cut.
Where it fits on value
As a standalone purchase they are unremarkable value. As the second item in a two-for bundle, they are one of the strongest picks available: you are paying the same flat rate as you would for a pizza, and while the food cost to the store is far lower, what you get is a substantial amount of bread for a small share of your total.
Ordering notes
Ask for a dipping sauce. Most stores include one free with breadsticks and charge for additional pots — but only if you request it, and delivery orders frequently arrive without one because nobody ticked the box.
They go hard as they cool, faster than pizza does. If you are ordering for later, this is the wrong side; wings or a dessert hold up better. Reheating in an oven for a few minutes restores them adequately; a microwave does not.
