Cinnamon twists are breadsticks that turned right instead of left: the same dough, sugar and cinnamon instead of garlic and parmesan, and a sweet icing dip instead of marinara. That shared origin is why they are the cheapest dessert on most menus.
Where it fits on value
The best value dessert by a clear margin on a per-person basis. A standard order feeds three or four people as an after-pizza sweet, where two lava cakes feed two. If you are ordering for a group and dessert is an afterthought, this is the pick.
Ordering notes
They hold up better in transit than the lava cake — there is no molten centre to lose — but they harden as they cool in the same way breadsticks do. Within half an hour they are good; after an hour they are chewy.
The icing dip is included but, as with breadstick dips, sometimes needs to be selected explicitly at checkout. Check your basket before paying.
Nutrition note
Lighter per piece than the lava cake, but a full order is not a light dessert. The sugar coating carries most of it.
