Approximate, per slice of a large hand-tossed pizza cut into eight.

A plain cheese pizza is the most useful thing on any chain menu, and not because it is the best-tasting. It is the reference price. Every topping charge, every specialty pizza premium and every deal saving is measured against what a cheese pizza costs at your store, so knowing that number turns the rest of the menu from guesswork into arithmetic.

What you are actually getting

A layer of tomato sauce, a full covering of shredded mozzarella, and whichever crust you pick. Because there is nothing else on it, crust choice matters more here than on any other pizza: a hand-tossed cheese pizza and a thin-crust cheese pizza are noticeably different products, not the same pizza on a different base.

Where it fits on value

On its own, at full menu price, a large cheese pizza is rarely the best value on the board — the carryout and bundle offers almost always beat it. Where it earns its place is inside a deal. If a bundle lets you pick any two items at a flat rate, a cheese pizza is one of the cheapest things you can put in that slot, which is fine if you are feeding someone who does not want toppings anyway.

Ordering notes

Ask for a light bake if you like a softer centre and an extra minute or two if you want the cheese properly browned; both are free and both are honoured more often than people expect. Extra cheese is a paid modification and, at most stores, adds a meaningful amount to the price of an otherwise cheap pizza — check the total before you commit.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough
  • Tomato pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Herb seasoning

Formulations differ by region and change without notice. Confirm current ingredient information with the official app or dominos.com before ordering.

Allergen information

  • Wheat
  • Milk

A shared pizza kitchen cannot rule out cross-contact. If you have a severe allergy or coeliac disease, speak to the store directly and treat this list as a starting point rather than a guarantee. See our gluten-free guide for why that distinction matters.

Frequently asked questions

They are usually the same product at the same price — a build-your-own with zero toppings is a cheese pizza. If your store shows a different price for each, order whichever line item is cheaper; the pizza that arrives will be identical.
