Approximate for a plain base, per slice of a large cut into eight equivalent portions.
Thin crust is not a smaller version of hand tossed — it is a different product. The base is rolled rather than tossed, there is no raised rim, and it comes out of the oven crisp rather than chewy. Most stores cut it into squares, which changes how a group eats it.
How the pricing works
Priced the same as hand tossed at most chains, with the same per-topping charges. Crust is usually a free choice, which makes this the cheapest way to cut calories on a chain pizza: you keep the toppings and the price and lose a meaningful amount of dough.
Where it fits on value
Identical on price, better on calories, worse on volume. A large thin crust does not feed as many people as a large hand tossed, because there is simply less food on the same diameter. If you are ordering for a group, size up or add a side.
Ordering notes
Thin crust does not cope with heavy toppings. Load it with five wet items and the middle will not hold. Two or three toppings is the practical ceiling, and vegetables in particular should be ordered with a well-done bake.
It also goes stale faster than a thicker base. Thin crust is the worst pizza on the menu for leftovers and the best for eating immediately, so order it when you plan to finish it.
